How SOLAR BY JO collects, uses, and protects your information. Last updated June 2026.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone, project details (property type, surface area, electricity bills, location), and payment information when you purchase a solar study. We also collect basic analytics: pages visited, device type, and language preference.
2. How we use your information
Your information is used solely to deliver your solar study, provide 90 days of consultation, send relevant project updates, and improve our service. We never sell or rent personal data. We do not share your data with vendors unless you explicitly request equipment recommendations.
3. Payment processing
Payments are processed by Stripe and bank transfer providers. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.
4. Data retention
Study data is retained for 5 years for warranty, support and tax compliance purposes. You can request deletion at any time by emailing hello@solarbyjo.com.
5. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, Loi 09-08)
You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Moroccan, EU, Canadian and US residents are all covered by our policies. Contact hello@solarbyjo.com to exercise any right.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for language preference and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is restricted to Madame Hajar Affane and the engineering team under signed NDA.
8. International transfers
As we operate across Morocco, Canada and the USA, your data may be processed in any of these jurisdictions under equivalent protection standards.
9. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email if you have submitted a study request.
